Kambah home destroyed by fire overnight

Firefighters have extinguished a house fire in Kambah overnight.

AT approximately 11.30pm ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a house alight on Karney Street.

Upon arrival they found the front of the home well alight with fire spread into the roof space.

3 Pumpers along with Breathing Apparatus support and a Commander responded to the scene.

The fire was brought under control after an hour but the home was completely destroyed.

A spokesperson for the ACT Emergency Services Agency said the fire was not suspicious.

There were no reports of injuries.
