Several people have been transported to hospital following a crash in Weston this afternoon.

At about 3.30pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a three car crash at the intersection of Hindmarsh Drive and Mcinnes Street.

Several people were trapped in their vehicles and were released with the assistance of ACT Fire and Rescue.

ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treated and transported three people from the scene all of which were in a stable condition.

Hindmarsh Drive was closed Eastbound for several hours until the scene was cleared.

ACT Policing are investigating the crash.
