Suspected grow house goes up in flames in Canberra's South

A suspected grow house has gone up in flames in Canberra's South this morning.

Just after 8am ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a house fire on Beaumont Close in Chapman.

Firefighters arrived to find a two-storey house well alight with fire through the roof and fire spread throughout a significant portion of the house.

The fire was eventually brought under control just over an hour later with no reports of injuries.

The contents inside the home have lead emergency services to believe that the premises was being used as a grow house.

ACT Policing have since taken over the scene and a crime scene has been established.
