Firefighters extinguish vehicle fire in Lawson

Firefighters have extinguished a car fire in Lawson this evening.

At about 11.15pm ACT Emergency Services received more than 15 triple zero calls to a vehicle alight near Solong Street.

The fire had spread into nearby grasslands, but firefighters were able to contain it to a small area and prevent its further spread.

ACT Policing were also in attendance.
