Man charged with high range drink driving following crash in City
A man has been charged with high range drink driving following a crash in the city overnight.
At about 10.50pm ACT emergency services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Vernon Circle.
The driver allegedly crashed into a light post at the location before coming to rest in the grass on City Hill.
An ACT Policing spokesperson said 'The driver involved in the collision, a 25-year-old man, underwent an alcohol screening test, which returned a positive result. He was taken into custody and conveyed to the City Police Station where he returned a breath analysis of 0.178.’
The man was issued with an Immediate Suspension Notice and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
