Firefighters extinguish house fire in Macgregor

Firefighters have extinguished a car and house fire in Macgregor early this morning.

Just before 5am ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a car fire on Kirkland Circuit.

Responding firefighters were notified while on route that the fire was spreading into the home and additional resources were sent to the location.

A quick response contained the fire to the car and the exterior of the home preventing further damage.

The cause of the car fire is unknown at this time, and there were no reports of serious injuries.

ACT Policing were also in attendance.
