Three charged following crash in Harrison overnight

Three men have been charged following a crash in Harrison overnight.

Just before 11pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a three-vehicle crash on Flemington Road just north of the Well Station Drive intersection.

Following the collision, several witnesses allegedly saw three men get out of one of the vehicles and flee the location on foot, following a search of the area, the three men were located in a nearby street. 

An ACT Policing spokesperson said one of the men has been charged with not providing particulars following a collision, failing to render assistance after a collision, refuse screening test, and refuse breath analysis.

The other two men were both charged with not providing particulars following a collision, failing to render assistance after a collision, and drink driving. 

They have been summonsed to appear before court in October 2023.

An ACT Emergency Services Agency spokesperson said one person was treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics and transported to hospital. 

Emergency services remained on scene for some time clearing the debris that stretched over 100 meters.
