Man escapes serious injury following crash west of Bungendore
A man has been rescued following a crash west of Bungendore overnight.
At about 10.30pm, ACT and NSW emergency services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Bungendore Road near the intersection of The Forest Road.
Emergency Services struggled to find the man trapped in his vehicle as it was about 30 meters off the road up a steep embankment.
He was eventually found by police about 30 minutes later and all services arrived quickly thereafter.
ACT Fire and Rescue used tools to free him from the badly damaged vehicle before he was carried down to an ambulance stretcher by ACT Fire and Rescue and NSW RFS firefighters.
Bungendore Road was closed partially with contraflow in place during the incident.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by NSW Police.
