Police investigate shooting and arson incident in Lawson, ACT
ACT Policing are investigating a shooting and arson incident that occurred in Lawson overnight.
At approximately 10.20pm ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a car fire in a driveway on Narrambla Terrace.
ACT Policing are investigating an incident where vehicles were allegedly set alight and a home was shot at in Lawson overnight.
Police found two partially melted fuel containers under one of the vehicles and identified a number of bullet holes spread across both levels of the home.
A crime scene was established and the AFP Forensics and AFP Firearms Identification and Armoury Team attended and conducted an examination of the scene.
Police believe a number of persons were involved in the incident, with two people seen running away and getting into a dark coloured four door hatch style car that was parked near the intersection of Narrambla Terrace and Solong Street shortly prior to police arrival.
Police are urging anyone who saw any suspicious activity in Lawson overnight or who may have any CCTV, dash-cam footage or information that could assist police, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
