Police investigate ram raid on Dunlop supermarket

ACT Policing is investigating an attempted burglary at a supermarket in Dunlop early this morning.

A manager for the store said just before 2am a vehicle believed to be stolen rammed through the front of the store and offenders attempted to steal items inside the shop.

A smoke based security system was activated and the offenders fled empty handed.

ACT Fire and Rescue attended the scene and ensured the area was safe.

Police urge anyone with information about this incident, or who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage in the area around the time of the incident, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
