Police investigate crash in Melba, ACT

ACT Policing are investigating a crash that occurred in Melba yesterday.

At approximately 4.30pm ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident on Kingsford Smith Drive.

Emergency services located a car off the road in some trees, a witnesses stated that the driver had fled the scene and a light post had also been damaged in the crash.

The light post was removed, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

An ACT Policing Spokesperson said investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dash-cam footage of the incident, who has not yet spoken to police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
