Firefighters extinguish house fire in Campbell

Firefighters have extinguished a house fire in Campbell overnight

Just before 10pm ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a house fire on Blamey Crescent.

Upon arrival firefighters located active fire inside with fire rapidly spreading throughout the home and into the roof space.

At least 20 firefighters worked for an hour to bring the fire under control, unfortunately the home suffered significant fire and smoke damage.

Residents of the property safely self-evacuated and no injuries have been reported.
