Strong winds cause widespread damage across the ACT
ACT Emergency Services have been kept busy responding to a large number of storm related jobs across the city.
Damaging winds lashed the capital as a strong costal low impacts the east coast bringing wind gusts of more than 100km/h and heavy rain leading to flash flooding.
Trees have been ripped from their roots leaving a number of homes damaged and roads blocked.
Damaging winds are expected to continue throughout the rest of the day.
There have been no reports of any serious injuries at this time.
