Driver transported to hospital following Mt Ainslie crash

The driver of a Hyundai is lucky to be alive following a crash on Mt Ainslie early this morning.

At approximately 5.30am ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident on Mt Ainslie Drive.

Emergency services located a vehicle down a steep embankment near the top of the mountain.

ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treated one person at the scene and they were transported to hospital.

A local resident stated that this had been the third crash at the same location in a matter of 18 months.

ACT Policing are investigating the cause of the crash.
