Firefighters extinguish car fire in Tuggeranong

Firefighters have extinguished a suspicious car fire in Tuggeranong this morning.

At approximately 9.30am ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a car fire in the Pine Island Reserve.

Firefighters arrived to find a car well alight at the end of the road in the reserve.

The fire was contained to the vehicle quickly and extinguished.

A witness stated he saw two young person’s flee from the scene shortly after the fire.

ACT Policing were in attendance and are investigating the cause of the fire.
