Home damaged following crash in Franklin

An elderly man has been transported to hospital following a crash in Franklin this evening.

At approximately 6.20pm ACT Emergency Services Responded to reports of a vehicle into a house with persons trapped.

Firefighters found a vehicle through the garage of the home and partially through a wall leading to the backyard.

One man was assisted from the vehicle by firefighters and paramedics and assessed on scene.

He was then transported to hospital in a stable condition for further observation.

A small dog was found terrified hiding in the corner of the rear yard and was reunited with its owner by firefighters.

ACT Policing are investigating the cause of the incident.
