Firefighters work to contain gas leak in Harrison

Firefighters have contained a gas leak in Harrison this afternoon.

Just after 2pm ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Helby Street.

Firefighters arrived to find gas leaking from a meter outside a block of units.

Firefighters worked for more than an hour to contain the leak, and the gas main was eventually isolated by Jemena Gas technicians.

There were no reports of injuries.

ACT Policing were also in attendance.
