Man charged with drink driving following crash in Bruce, ACT
A man has been charged with drink driving following a crash in Bruce overnight.
Just after 2am ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Belconnen Way and Haydon Drive.
The driver allegedly crashed at speed into a traffic light at the location causing extensive damage to the vehicle.
An ACT Policing Spokesperson said the driver a 27-year-old man, underwent an alcohol screening test, which returned a positive result.
He was taken into custody and conveyed to the Belconnen Police Station where he returned a breath analysis of 0.138.
His licence was immediately suspended and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
There were no reports of any serious injuries.
