Man dies following ute and truck collision on the Federal Highway

A man has died following a collision between a utility and a truck in Sutton overnight.

At about 1am today, ACT and NSW emergency services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on the Federal Highway.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and found the male driver of the utility deceased at the scene.

The driver of the semi-trailer - a 53-year-old man - was not injured and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

There were no other occupants of the vehicles.

NSW Police officers attached to Monaro Police District established a crime scene which will be examined by specialist police.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
