Driver rescued after tree comes down on car in Queanbeyan carpark

The driver of a vehicle has being rescued after tree came down on car in Queanbeyan carpark this afternoon.

Just before 4pm, NSW Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a tree down on a car with a person trapped inside on Rutledge Street.

Firefighters arrived at the scene in the carpark to find one person trapped by confinement.

Part of the tree was removed and the occupant was freed from the vehicle.

The State Emergency Service was called in to cut up and remove the tree.

There were no reports of injuries.

NSW Police were also in attendance.
