Truck loaded with Maggots and Manure rolls in Russell overnight
A man has escaped injury after his truck rolled in Russell overnight.
At about 8pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Morshead drive at the roundabout of Russell Drive.
The driver of the truck crawled through the smashed windscreen to escape the vehicle.
He was assessed at the scene by ACT Ambulance Paramedics but did not require transport to hospital
Firefighters worked to stabilise the vehicle and contain a fuel leak until the truck was able to be towed from the location.
The road was partially blocked in the Eastbound direction until the scene was cleared.
It's believed the truck, which was carrying maggots and manure was doing so as part of a waste food product operation.
ACT Policing and the Environmental Protection Agency were also in attendance.
