Three transported to hospital following alleged DUI crash in Dickson overnight

Three people were transported to hospital following a crash in Dickson overnight.

At about 10.30pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a collision between a black Holden Commodore and a Mercedes Transporter van on Majura Avenue.

Three people were assessed on scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics and transported to hospital in a stable condition.

An ACT Policing spokesperson said "The driver of the Holden Commodore, a 51-year-old man from Dickson, was subjected to a roadside breath screening, which returned a positive reading for alcohol.

It is expected the man will be charged offences including drink driving and driving while suspended, however no charges have been laid at this time."

Firefighters remained on the scene and made the area safe.

Majura Avenue was closed between Wakefield Avenue and Cowper Street for about an hour until the scene was cleared.
