57-year-old motorcyclist dies following crash on Tidbinbilla Road

A 57-year-old man has died after a single vehicle crash in Paddys River west of suburban Canberra.
At about 12.00pm, police were conducting road patrols in the vicinity of Tidbinbilla Road and observed group of motorcyclists allegedly speeding in the opposite direction.
It's believed the man failed to negotiate a bend coming off the road into a fence and then into a tree.
The officer immediately rendered CPR along with the support of his fellow motorcyclists until ambulance services reached the scene.
Despite the best efforts the man died at the scene.
ACT Policing’s Major Crash Investigation team attended the scene and have commenced an investigation into the crash
Anybody who may have seen the motorcyclists in the lead up to the crash is urged to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
