Two transported to hospital following serious crash on Monaro Highway
Two people have been transported to hospital following a crash on the Monaro Highway south of Canberra.
At about 10am, NSW Emergency Services were called to reports of a multi-vehicle crash on the Monaro Highway, about 2km south of the Michelago township.
A police spokesperson has stated that officers from the Monaro Police District were told a truck travelling south along the Monaro Highway has hit a number of stationary cars at a roadworks site, before rolling.
The driver of one of the vehicles was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics on scene for head and spinal injuries.
The driver of the truck was treated for minor injuries. Both were taken to The Canberra Hospital.
All other drivers were treated for minor injuries on scene.
Officers attached to Monaro Police District arrived and established a crime scene.
The Monaro Highway was closed in both directions for most of the day and has since reopened.
