Driver escapes serious injury following crash on Cotter Road overnight

The driver of a sedan has escaped serious injury following a crash on Cotter Road overnight.

Just before 10pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a single car crash on the Cotter Road near the Casuarina Sands Reserve.

The driver of the vehicle was assessed on the scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics and transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

ACT Fire and Rescue checked over the vehicle and the surrounding grass to ensure the area was safe.

The road was partially closed until the scene was cleared.

ACT Policing were also in attendance and are investigating the crash.
