39-year-old woman dies following truck and car crash on the Hume Highway
A woman has died following a multi vehicle crash north of Canberra.
About 8:15pm today (Thursday 22 February 2024), NSW emergency services were called to the Hume Highway, Yass following reports of crash.
Upon arrival they located a collision between a truck and a car.
Despite the best efforts of emergency service personnel the driver of the car, a 39-year-old woman died at the scene.
The male driver of the truck was taken to Yass Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, all north bound lanes remain closed, with diversions in place.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
