Home destroyed by fire in Taylor overnight
A home in Taylor has been completely destroyed following a fire overnight.
At about 7.30pm, ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a house fire on Marjorie Matthews Street.
Upon arrival they located a home well alight with fire into the roof space.
Fire crews worked for several hours to fully extinguish the fire, with several hot spots located within the roof void.
An ACT ESA spokesperson said residents were not inside the home at the time of the fire and there have been no reports of serious injury.
The cause of the fire is believed to have been started from an electrical fault in a fan.
