A car and light rail vehicle have collided in Dickson this afternoon, disrupting the light rail network for more than an hour.

At about 12.30pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a crash on Northbourne Avenue near the intersection of Morphett Street.

One person was assessed on scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics but did not require transport to hospital.

Both the car and light rail vehicle sustained damage as a result of the collision, causing a disruption to the light rail network until the vehicle was deemed safe.

The road was partially blocked by emergency services until the scene was cleared.

ACT Policing are investigating the incident.
