Motorcyclist dies after coming off his bike on Gungahlin Drive
A motorcyclist has died following a single vehicle collision in Kaleen overnight.
About 5.50pm yesterday evening (Friday, 25 October 2024), a 28-year-old man was entering onto Gungahlin Drive from the Barton Highway on ramp when he fell from his motorbike.
First aid was provided by witnesses and the man was transported to hospital by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics in a critical condition. Sadly, the man was declared deceased soon after his arrival at hospital.
An investigation by the Major Collision Team has commenced and multiple witnesses have been spoken with.
This fatality brings the total number of road deaths in the ACT this year to seven.
