ACT Policing launch major search for missing man

ACT Policing with the assistance of ACT SES and the Toll Rescue Chopper have launched a major search following reports a man had gone missing on his motorbike west of Canberra.
ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance to locate missing man Alex Coppinger.
Alex has not been seen or heard from since early yesterday (Sunday 17 January 2021) when he left to ride his motorbike to the west of Canberra.
He was expected to ride on the following roads:
- Cotter Road from the intersection with Eucumbene Drive, Duffy to Cotter Reserve;
- Brindabella Road from Cotter Reserve to Uriarra Village
- Paddy’s River Road from the intersection with Cotter Road until Point Hut Road;
- Point Hut Road to Jim Pike Avenue.
Alex was riding a distinctive black Yamaha motorbike with a brown leather seat. He was wearing a white full face helmet with black motorbike leathers.
Anyone that may have seen Alex riding his motorbike on the above roads or who may have been in contact with him today, are urged to contact police immediately by calling ACT Policing Operations on 131 444.
