Man dies following motorcycle crash at Paddys River
A 21-year-old man has died following a serious motorcycle crash in Paddys River.
Last night ACT Policing launched a major search operation for a man reported to be missing out in a rural area west of Canberra..
The Toll Rescue Chopper was called in to assist in the search of the man along with numerous ACT SES volunteers.
They searched well into the early hours of this morning but to no avail they did not find the man.
Emergency services commenced the search again at first light searching in the areas of
- Cotter Road from the intersection with Eucumbene Drive, Duffy to Cotter Reserve;
- Brindabella Road from Cotter Reserve to Uriarra Village
- Paddy’s River Road from the intersection with Cotter Road until Point Hut Road;
- Point Hut Road to Jim Pike Avenue.
Unfortunately, the man was located deceased in the vicinity of Paddys River Road by ACT SES volunteers at about 9.30am this morning.
