Truck causes significant damage to cancer recovery facility in Duffy

A truck has crashed into a building in Duffy this morning.

Just after 10am ACT Emergency Services responded to reports that a driverless truck had collided with two cars and a house in Jemalong Street.

Emergency Services arrived to find significant damage to the front of the building with partial collapse of the Garage.

Electricity and gas were cut from the premises and the building was evacuated.

An ACT Policing Spokesperson said that the home was being used as a cancer recovery facility run by ACT Health Services.

The building is expected to be closed  for some time and require extensive repairs.
