Man to face court on drink driving charges following crash in Lyneham

A man is expected to face the ACT Magistrates court following a crash in Lyneham overnight.

At approximately 1.30am this morning, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Flemington Road.

An ACT Policing Spokesperson said 'The driver, a 28-year-old man, returned a blood alcohol reading in excess of the .05 limit, and was issued with an immediate suspension notice. He will be summonsed to appear in court on a date to be fixed.'

Police have also said that the man was taken to hospital by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics for medical assessment for non-life-threatening injuries.
