Man to face court over alleged drink driving crash in Braddon
A man has been summonsed to appear in court following a crash which left Limestone Avenue littered with broken bins overnight.
At about 1.45am ACT Emergency Services responded to a single vehicle crash near the intersection of Wakefield and Limestone Avenues.
Several bins out for collection had been destroyed and a streetlight was damaged.
An ACT Policing spokesperson said the driver of the Blue VW Golf, a 32-year-old Reid man, returned a positive reading to alcohol in a roadside breath test and was taken into custody.
At City Police Station he recorded a blood-alcohol content of 0.127, more than double the legal 0.05 limit, and issued with an Immediate Suspension Notice, revoking his right to drive for 60 days.
