Two cats rescued following house fire in Moncrieff
Firefighters have rescued two cats after fire broke out in a home in Moncrieff this afternoon.
Just after 1pm ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a house fire on Gussey Street.
Upon arrival firefighters located a fire that started on the stove top and extended into the ceiling, of the two-storey townhouse.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus rescued two cats from the house, and the fire was extinguished, the occupants had already safely evacuated out of the premises.
No injuries have been reported.
