19-year-old woman dies following crash at Black Mountain overnight
A woman has died following a single vehicle collision at Black Mountain overnight.
At about 10.15pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Black Mountain Road.
Police have said a 19-year-old woman driving had collided with a tree after failing to negotiate a bend in the road.
Firefighters extracted the woman from the car using hydraulic tools and she was transported to hospital.
Unfortunately despite the best efforts of emergency services and hospital staff the woman died later in hospital.
This is the 10th road fatality in the ACT this year.
Police continue to urge drivers to slow down and drive to the conditions.
ACT Road Policing’s Major Collision Team is conducting an investigation into the collision and a report will be prepared for the Coroner
