Fire hydrant damaged following crash in Kaleen

A fire hydrant has been damaged following a crash in Kaleen overnight.

At approximately 12.40am ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Ellenborough Street.

Firefighters arrived to find a hydrant damaged with a significant amount of water flooding the street.

ACT Ambulance service paramedics assessed two persons at the scene, but they did not require transport to hospital.

The burst pipe also trigged an automatic fire alarm in a nearby building.

ACT Policing were also in attendance.
