Two seriously injured following crash on Canberra Avenue overnight

Two people have been transported to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Fyshwick overnight.

At approximately 8.45pm ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Canberra Avenue near the intersection of Mildura Street.

The driver and passenger were trapped in their vehicle after colliding with a tree.

Firefighters used hydraulic tools to remove the doors from both sides of the vehicle to access the persons inside.

ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treated 3 people at the scene and transported two to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are again seeking witnesses or dashcam footage from those in the area at the time of the collision.
