Firefighters extinguish fire in Denman Prospect apartment block

Firefighters have extinguished a small fire in a Denman Prospect apartment complex this morning.

At approximately 9.30am ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a structure fire on McMichael Terrace.

Upon arrival firefighters located a smoke filled unit with a small fire inside.

The fire was quickly extinguished and contained to the unit of origin.

Firefighters were required to ventilate the complex for several hours so the area could be made safe for residents.

There were no reports of any injuries.
