One person transported to hospital following fire North of Yass.
One person has been transported to hospital following a grass fire North of Yass this afternoon.
Just before 4pm NSW Rural Fire Service responded to reports of a grass fire on Fairy Hole Road just north of the Hume Highway.
Firefighters arrived to find a grass fire about 3 hectares in size, and quickly got to work containing the fire with the assistance of private earth moving equipment.
One person was transported to hospital with minor burns as a result of the fire.
More than 10 firefighting appliances, a bulldozer and a grader attended the scene.
The fire was contained by about 5.30pm.
