Police officer transported to hospital following crash on Kings Highway

A police officer has been transported to hospital following a crash on the Kings Highway this evening.

At about 6pm NSW Emergency Services responded to a motor vehicle crash on The Kings Highway at Manar.

The officer involved in the crash was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance Service paramedics and transported to hospital in a stable condition.

NSW Police have told OnScene ACT that the officer was responding to a serious crash nearby when it's believed he lost control in adverse weather conditions, hitting several trees and a fence, before coming to a rest in a paddock.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
