14-year-old boy seriously injured following car and e-scooter collision in Queanbeyan

A 14-year-old boy has been seriously injured following a collison between a car and electric scooter collision in Queanbeyan East this afternoon.

Just after 4.30pm, NSW Emergency Services were called to Yass Road, Queanbeyan, following reports of a crash. 

Officers attached to Monaro Police District attended and were told an e-scooter and car had collided. 

The rider of the e-scooter – a 14-year-old boy - was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Canberra Hospital with a serious leg injury. 

The driver and sole occupant of the car - a 31-year-old woman - was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
