Firefighters contain grass fire North of Bungendore

Firefighters have contained a grass fire North of Bungendore this afternoon.

Just before 2pm NSW Rural Fire Service were called to reports of smoke in vicinity near Tarago Road.

First arriving firefighters located a running grass fire on Currandooley Rroad with several structures under threat.

A further 8 appliances were sent to the scene in an attempt to contain the fire and prevent any further damage.

The fire was contained at about 3.30pm after burning through approximately 14 hectares.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
