Man transported to hospital after becoming trapped under a car in Bruce

A man has been transported to hospital after a vehicle fell on top of him in Bruce this evening.

Just after 5pm, ACT Emergency services responded to reports of a person trapped under a car in a carpark on Vowles crescent.

It's believed the man was underneath the vehicle when the jack he was using failed causing the vehicle to fall.
A passerby was able to assist in freeing the man before emergency services arrived.

He was then assessed by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics and transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An ACT Policing Spokesperson has said investigations into the circumstances of the incident are continuing including why the man was under a vehicle that he did not own.

Anyone with information about this matter should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or www.crimestoppers.com.au quoting reference 7503083

ACT Fire and Rescue were also in attendance but were not required to rescue the man.
