Family home destroyed following intense fire north of the ACT
A family have lost their home and all of their belongings following an intense house fire in Sutton late yesterday.
At about 4.30pm yesterday, NSW Emergency Services responded to reports of a house fire on Read Road just north of the ACT Border.
Several neighbours attempted to contain the fire to the garage where it started, but they were unable to contain the aggressive nature of the fire.
The first arriving fire appliance reported the home to be fully involved with fire, with several units from NSW Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue NSW responding to the scene.
Unfortunately despite the best efforts by neighbours and firefighters the home was completely destroyed.
The local community has rallied support behind the family.
NSW Police and the NSW Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
