86-year-old man charged with murder following the death of a 78-year-old female in Gordon

An 86-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a 78-year-old female in Gordon.

At about 7.30am, ACT Policing attended a residence in Togo Place following reports of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, they located a 78-year-old female deceased at the location.

The husband, an 86-year-old male was spoken to at another location in Fadden and was taken into police custody.

The man was charged with murder today (03/06/2024) via a bedside hearing.
