Police investigate suspicious unit fire in Theodore

Police have commenced an investigation into a unit fire that occurred in Theodore early this morning.

Just after 5am, ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a structure fire Tewksbury Circuit.

Upon arrival they located a unit well alight with fire extending through the roof, firefighters quickly got to work preventing further fire spread into adjoining units.

The fire was contained about an hour later with full extinguishment not occurring until the late morning.

All persons safely evacuated from the premises and there were no reports of serious injury.

Following an initial investigation the fire has been deemed suspicious and police are investigating.
