Two seriously injured following head-on crash in Gowrie

Two people have been seriously injured following a crash in Gowrie.

At about 6.30pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash with persons trapped.

Upon arrival they located a two-car collision with one person trapped in their vehicle.

Firefighters used hydraulic tools to remove the roof and free the person trapped inside the vehicle.

An ACT Emergency Services agency spokesperson said that two people were treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics and transported to hospital in a serious condition.

Isabella Drive was closed between Ashley Drive and Kellett St while ACT Policing’s Major Crash Team investigated the scene.
