Emergency services contain grass fire in Gordon
Firefighters have contained a grass fire burning Southewest of Gordon, ACT this afternoon.
Fire appliances from ACT Rural Fire Service, ACT Fire & Rescue, Community Fire Units and the ACT Parks and Conservation Service responded to the blaze.
Firefighters worked to gain access to the fire burning in rough terrain and a waterbombing helicopter was brought in to assist.
The fire burnt through around 4 hectares of grasslands coming within about 300 meters of residential properties.
The fire is now under control and the cause is being investigated.
It's understood no properties were damaged.
