Motorcyclst dies following crash on Sutton Road

A man has died following a crash north of Sutton this afternoon.

About 1.15pm (Monday 16 January 2023), emergency services were called to Sutton Road, Sutton, near the intersection of Vaughan Drive, following reports a motorcyclist had hit a tree.

Witnesses performed CPR before NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived, but despite efforts, the rider died at the scene.

The male rider is yet to be formally identified, but is believed to be aged in his 50s.

There is a contraflow in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Officers attached to The Hume Police District have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As inquiries continue, anyone who witnessed or has dashcam vision the incident is urged to call Goulburn Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
